HAWKE CUP COMPETITION UNALTERED

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council, the following officers were elected : Patron, Sir Charles Fergusson ; president, Sir Francis Bell; treasurer, Mr W. 11. Winsor; secretary, Air J. Peake; auditor, Air A. E. Burn; committee, 'Messrs E. R.. Cozgill, A. T. Donnelly, 11. W. Taylor, J. Ramsden, P. Dalryinple. It was decided that the Hawke Cup competition be left as it is for the present, and that Lord Ilawkc be written to asking permission to change the form of the contest if the council wished to do so.
A tribute for work done was paid to Messrs D. Reese, J. S. Barrett, and F. Arkwright.
