BRASS BAND
At a joint meeting of the Citizens’ and Band committe.es held in the Band Room on Wednesday evening, the following members were present: Messrs J. Guy, H. Smith; J. Wort, H. Delany, P. V. Knapp, J. G. Heath, E. Trcvena, D. W. Talbot and G. W. Boundy. The Mayor (Mr J. A. Wallace) occupied the chair and explained that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways and means of raising money to purchase additional silver instruments. After a lengthy discussion on the' matter it was decided to hold a grand carnival. The joint to meet again on Monday evening in order to outline a programme.
