Boring for water at the Raglan Brewery is proceeding steadily under the, direction of Mr Parkinson, of Parkinson and .Rasmussen, Palmerston North. The bore is down 130 feet, and water is expected to be. struck at about 300 ft. Mr Parkinson informed a “‘Mail” representative to-day that some of the stones taken out in the course of boring are the hardest lie has ever found during his long experience in different parts of the dominion. Glass’ could be easily written upon with some of the pieces of stone, a sure indication of its extreme hardness. • . .
