The Legislative Council riiet at 2.30 p.rii. to,-day, The Nripier Harbour Board Empowering Loan and Constitution Amendment Bill was reported by the Local Bills Co’riimitiee without amendment. The Palmerston North Library Empowering_Bill was also reported without amendments. The Wellington City and Suburban Water Supply Bill was reported with amendments. The Insurance . Companies’ Deposits Amendment Bill wa.s referred to the Statutes Revision Committee,, the Leader of the Council (the Right Hon. Sir Francis Bell) explaining that he desired, to give Lloyd’s representatives an opportunity to give evidehce.
