NEW FLOOD
ARKANSAS AGAIN THREATENED POUR RIVERS OVERFLOWING FARMERS AGAIN DRIVEN TO HILLS (By Eleatric Telegraph-Copyright) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association) NEW YORK, 6th June. News from Little Rock, Eastern Arkansas, states that farmers engaged in rehabilitation have been again driven to the hills. A new flood came down which threatens to devastate Crittenden County. Residents had but recently abandoned relief camps in the mountains, to which they had been confined since the first outbreak of floods and had made good advances in reconstruction. Now an impending torrent which is the result of the overflow of the State's four largest rivers threatens to drive upwards of 20,000 people back to the hills.
Trouble has been feared for the past few days owing to torrential rains. Mr Hoover and his aides therefore remained in the vicinity preparatory to lending assistance. All streams are practically in a flood state again. -The authorities anticipate any moment new breaks in levees and subsequent re-floodings.
