Traffic returns for the period ending 30th April on the Nelson section of New Zealand Railways show that 5886 passengers were carried, including 267 firstclass and 5619 second-class; compared with 7260 for the similar period of 1926 (337 first and 6923 second class). Season tickets issued numbered 17, against 27. Goods (live stock) carried totalled 2620, compared with 3897; while the tonnage carried amounted to 2473, against 2907. On the revenue side of Die total of £1659 0s 9d, passengers accounted for £613 8s and goods £5972 O.s -... For the. .similar period of 1926 the total was £2480 Is 3d. of which passengers accounted for £B9O 10s 2d and com Is £I2BB 4s 4d.
