Blind people who are heads of families may obtain, free of charge, licenses for wireless crystal sets, according to a communication received from the Prime Minister by Mr H. Holland, M.P. Several months ago Mr Holland interviewed Mr Coates on behalf of the civilian blind, regarding the possibility of allowing blind people to use crystal sets free of charge. The Prime Minister has replied that the Postal Department, subject to its being satisfied of the bona tides of applicants, will be pleased to issue licenses to blind people who are heads of families.
