BOYS' CENTRAL SCHOOL CHOIR
TO BENEFIT HOSPITAL PATIENTS
The repeat performance of the Boys' Central School Choir concert was given on Saturday night before another crowded house. The whole programme was again enthusiasticaTiy- received, the choral singing being, if* anything, an improvement of that of the previous evening. The handling of the final fourpart chorus "Night Hymn atVSca" was specially fine.
•Mv Douglas, the headmaster of the school, addressed the audience, thanking them for tho manner in which they had responded to the boys' efforts. He said he must remedy his omission of the previous evening by making spocial mention of Mrs Forster, an English relieving teacher at present attached to the school staff. She was responsible for the "waxworks" and the preparation; of the historical plays. The costuming of the latter nterh was carried out by her direction. Another performance of the concert will'be giyenTm.lhirSGfiool-of Music on Friday night, next in. aid .of., ,tlie Hospital Patients' Entertainment'.•' Fund. The worthiness of the object, as well as tho excellent programme' to be offered should attract a large audience.
