W'itli rmo dissentient only the central council of the. Australian Clerks’ Union decided to expel from the organisation the Premier, ‘Air Lang; the Minister of Lands, AJr Loughlin; the Alinister of Health, Mr Cairn; the Secretary of the Parliamentary Labour Party, Air OTIalloran; the Chairman of Committees. Mr Clreig; and Mr Murphy, a member of the Legislative Assembly. The allegation made against them is that they failed to give effect to the policy of the union, which for the past eighteen months lias been agitating for the betterment of the conditions of employment of members engaged in the public service.
Ministers, interviewed later, declined to comment on the position.
