EXPLOSION OF GELIGNITE

'Die women killed in the explosion near Banbury were: Mrs Holt and Mrs Atkins. Mrs' Holt senior, who is the mother of the husband of one of the women killed succumbed to her injuries bringing the death roll to three. It appears that a number of gelignite eaps were placed in an old stove for safe keeping and Mrs Holt, junior, unaware of this, lighted the fire in the stove causing an explosion.
