NEW YORK, June 17
Twenty-three were killed in a Pittsburg railway smash. When the Washington express stopped the trainman went back half a mile and posted a red flare, fulfilling the regulations. After the collision the flare was found still burning. How two enginedrivers, both of whom were killed, passed it is a mystery.
