A touch of romance invested the- filing in the Supreme Court of a prosaic look, ing affidavit which established the identity of Alfred Duncan Glass, who* it was supposed disappeared in 1902. Court proceedings a month ago centred round the interpretation of Glass’s’ father’s will. Air Justice Reid finding that Alfred Duncan Glass was entitled to a share. Then iblicnved a search for the beneficiary, hut advertisements proved fruitless til' last- Alonday. when Glass reported his arrival at Auckland. He explained that he had left Auckland 23 vears ago anil lived since at Hastings as Alfred Campbell. A friend there who had known him as Glass in Auckianl drew his attention to a newspaper report of the case. He came to Auckland and was identified by a brother and aunt, and now is entitled to a legacy of over .9700.
