CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
SPECIAL ADDRESS At the last meeting of the Chamber of Commerce, following its usual practice, the Cnamber decided ot- endeavour to secure further addresses on matters of interest to the business community', to be deliverd at the ordinary monthly meetings. It was decided to approacn the General Manager of Railways with a view to securing an address from a member of the Commercial Branch of that Department on railway matters generally. It so happens that an officer of that branch will be in Nelson this week, and arrangements have now been hurriedly made for Mr G. T. Wilson, of the Commercial Branch of the Department. to address a special meeting of members of the Chamber on the railway tariff, the activities of the commercial branch of the Department, and general railway' matters. He will be prepared to discuss any railway' questions with the local business people. An invitation is also extended to anyone outside the Chamber who is interested in the subject. The meeting will be held at the Institute Rooms. Hardy-street, o,n Wednesday eevning, at 8 o’clock. The President- of the Chamber is particularly anxious that there should be a good attendance.
