WELLINGTON, This Day. The Plunket Shield match Wellington v. Otago has so* far gone in favour of tlio latter. They made a bad start, losing 4 for 44. A. Alloo and Blamires then made a stand helped by several blunders in the field and took the total to 155. Blamires went}on to score 117 and Dickinson hit freely ah the finish, the total reaching 290. Wellington’s start was even move disastrous. Dickinson bowled Hiddleston and Hutchings in his first over and five wickets were actually down for 38 before iMcCirr and Badcock batting steadily to some extent saved the situation.
Otago’s highest scores were Blamires 117; A. W. Alloo, 48; Dickinson, not out, 39; Galland, 27; Worker, 17. Badcock took 5 for 96; Brice, 1 for 62; Hiddlcston, 1 for 18; Henderson, 1 for 44.
Wellington have, lost 5 for 139—McGirr ,not out, 50; Badcock, not out, 49. Tlie Wellington fielding was extremely poor.
Wellington have scored 250 for nine wickets.
