RIWAKA ROAD BOARD
The monthly meeting of the Riwaka Road Board was held on September 26th, all members being present. Correspondence was received from : Resident Engineer, Nelson, stating that the application for a. grant of £IOOO re Riwaka, Kaiteri, Sandy Bay Coast road lias been noted for consideration on the estimates. The foreman reported inter alia that work had been done on the Mill Road re gravelling, and suggested some blinding be done to cement the surface: the North Branch road requires attention re clearing slips and the placing of a culvert. This month being wet retarded the work. Resolutions were passed as follows: — That all accounts as presented be paid; that the foreman’s report be adopted; that the Motueka Harbour Board Le notified of gorse on foreshore leading to Riwaka wharf. Cheques were signed for £l7/3/6.
