HOKITIKA, This Day. Ernest Mclnroe, of Totara Elat, married, in charge of a Public Works gang engaged in the erection of new bridges over the Waikukupa River below Waiho Gorge, was fatally crushed by a portion of heavy material falling on him while working on the old structure.
