ARRIVAL OF BULLER' TEAM The Buller Seddon Shield team, which arrived at Motueka about 5.30 last evening, after a long journey in the rain, was accorded a civic reception- at the Post Office by the Mayor (Mr J. a.. McGlashen). The Mayor, in the course of his remarks, expressed the hope that the visitor? would have a very pleasant time while in Motueka. Colvin, manager of, the Buller team, returned thanks for the' splendid manner in which his team-had been received. (From Our Own Correspondent). Although Golden Bay-Motueka secured a comfortable win over the West Coast team by 13 to 3, local football supporters were far from satisfied'with' the play of their representatives- On the Coasters’ form our score should have been at least 30 to 3. The Buller team, which makes it attack 'on .the Shield holders at Motueka on Saturday, is a much fiercer proposition than the last triers, and this is well realised ■by the Bays, and consequently the Bays team is being seriously re-organ-ised and re-inforced by several hefty men being substituted for those who were tried and found wanting, and .in addition the team, will take the field better-trained and benefited by their experience. ... A big crowd , is coming up from Buller and the West Coast t to barrack foi Buller, and they and their supporters are confident of victory. , Bays will be found reasJy. and equally, confident, and a Homeric battle, should ensue, which no lovers of the game should miss. , v>
