Pegler took 5 for 34, Blackenberg, 5 for 34. South Africans in their first innings scored 162 (Taylor 67, Commaille 49). Pet-tington took 7 for 52. The Harlequins in "the second innings had thirteen on for the loss of one wicket when stumps were drawn. The wicket was sticky. Bettington worried tlie Africans. The harlequins in the2ir second innings scored 213 (Jardine 40, Evans'42). Carter took 6 for 40. The South Africans made 135 for 4 wickets (Commaille 60) and won by six wickets.
