SWALLOWED A CHEQUE

During the busy banking hours of Saturday a man presented a cheque, at. a Sydney bank. A question tvas raised regarding the signature, and the man snatched the cheque from the banker’s band, rolled it into a ball, and swallowed it. The police were summoned and a strong emetic was administered to the man, who Avas detained.
