As eighty coAvboys entered the steerroping contest, it will be decided at the Wembley stadium in'the mornings, without public audiences. LONDON, June 16. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is applying for summonses in connection ivitli the matter, and telegraphed the Premier protesting against a continuance of the performance. Mr Cochrane announced that steer roping would be discontinued, but Avail be continued privately till the championship is settled in order to keep faith Avitli the cowboys.
