(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Reuter’s Telegrams.)
LONDON, Nov. 20. Advices from Luxor state that- final preparations for the re-opefting of the tomb of Tutankhamen are completed. It is hoped the entrance to the tomb will reveal more valuable discoveries than last- year. This year’s work will be entirely devoted to taking down the nested shrines and filling the sepulchral chamber, with the object of reaching the sarcophagus, ' which should be in tho centre and should contain the mortal remains of Pharaoh. The dismounting of the shrines is exceedingly difficult, work owing to their delicate condition, and the task is further complicated by the small working space. ‘ 1
