FREE STATE GENERAL ELECTION

An Irish general election is expected at the end of August. The time is unfavourable to Labour, which is confronted with a rapidly extending strike movement and torn by internal dissensions. The Ministerial party is well organised, also the Farmers’ Party, which expects to secure enough seats to make the Ministerialists offer terms amounting virtually to a coalition.
