SERIOUS SITUATION

The strike troubles are spreading in Rhineland. Fifty thousand workers arc involved. Four persons were killed and ten wounded. Many police were injured. The German authorities were unable 'to cope with the rioting, which lasted all night in Cologne, and invoked the help of the British military police. The situation is serious.

RESIGNATION OF CABINET

BERLIN, Nov. 15

It is semi-officially stated that the resignation of the Government will not affect Germany’s reparation programme ah' outlined in Tuesday’s note to the Commission.
