Mr H. Atmore, M.P., who has been attending the conference by invitation, suggested that the vote of thanks should receive tho addition of a strong request for the Government to annually subsidise the Cawthron Institute to the exlent of £2OOO in view of the magnificent work of a national nature it was doing for the fanners and the fruitgrowers of the Dominion. This was enthusiastically agreed to by the conference, and Urn motion passed in that form.
