RETURNED SOLDIERS
- SIR ANDREW RUSSELL URGES UNITY (United Press Association.) TAURAXGA. April 11 Sir Andrew Russell, president of the R.S.A., addressed a public meeting here last night. He urged upon returned men the importance of joining the association. Eighty per cent, of the men returned fit', and it was their duty to keep together in a strong organisation to help the 20 per cent, no longer able to fight the battle of life. He strongly urged self-reliance. Good leaders were wanted, and if the country had sufficient beloved captains there would be an end to all our difficulties. He was heartily cheered on concluding his address. Sir Andrew left this morning for Waihi. cn route to Auckland, where he delivers a public address to-night. A esterday he journeyed to Te Puke, Tongakawa, and Otnmaruka, where he met soldier settlers, and discussed their diffi,'tjD : »s. At Te Puke lie addressed the public from the Post Office steps, and met with a hearty reception.
