COMPULSORY EDUCATION
EXTENSION OF AGE URGED 3 * (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. In .an address to members of the Council of Education,_ the Director-General of Education Dr Anderson) urged that the time had arrived when they should consider, extending the age of compulsory attendance at schools from 14 to 15 years. "I do not, mean,” he said, “by the application of those very limited and more, or less ineffective* provisions for'compulsory attendance at continuation classes that have already found their way on to the Statute Book. I mean the extension of the compulsory age for full time attendance.’’
