LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL
(United Press Association)
WELLINGTON, This Day
It is understood that the Government will be making a number of new appointments to the Legislative Council either before the meeting of the House or shortly afterwards. The term of two members of the Council, Messrs. Jtiardy and Earnshaw, expires during the present month and these are practically certain to’ be reappointed. The report is that there are about half a dozen appointments to be made and that there are among them some whose appointment to the Council was arranged at the time of the National Government. These gentlemen have not been reputed supporters of the Massey Government.
