The Afghan ‘armistice delegation was detained at Peshawar as a precautionary measure, with the exception of, the chief envoy, who was conducted back across the frontier with a message that the Amir rnus{.,i>rove his sincerity by action. f ' . . (Pec. May 26, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, May 24. The Viceroy reported <m 22nd May that the dissemination of Afghan forces along the whole frontier was intended to raise tribes against Bntaw.
