SICK AND WOUNDED SOLDIERS' FUND
TO-NIGHT'S MEETING- OF SUBj SCORERS.
A general meeting of members of the Nelson Sick and "Wounded Soldiers .arid* the'ir Dependents' Fund Society. (incorporated) will be-held at the,-C4iy Oo*m« cil Chambers this evening at 8 o'clock to consider whether object 2a of the society, which! reads as follows: (a) The relief and benefit of eiok, wounded or incapacitated A soldiers and their dependents and the dependent of any soldier may. have been killed or have,di«d : frbij» wounds or sickness, shall remain unaltered, or whether it shall be amended to read as follows :-X' "The relief, assistance and "benefit of soldiers and their dependents and the dependent of any soldiers who' may have been killed or whq may have died.'.' " , The object of the amendment is to ■bring within the scope of the fuhd whit is known as the necesjtous soldier. In. the past the Advisory Board has found itself unable to assist many deserving cases because they were scope" of, thefcund, but the of the amendment will remove this anomaly and, at the same ' time, assure 'ioy:tU<9 Nelson soldier and hisy dependents. the same treatment as" 1 every- other district Zealand is according its soldiers out of patriotic funds..
