The Times of India- s;iys the reasons for the advance to Baghdad are to be found in events in Gallipoli and Serbia. When, the whole, history is written it. will bo learned that the advance was very strongly pressed by Britain, that the Viceroy and the Commander-in-Chief in India did not liKe it, but they were overborne by Cabinet pressure supported by General Sir John Nixon, who misunderstood the situation.
