THEATRE ROYAL..

HAYWARD 'S PICTURES

There are many beautiful subjects in the new programme of Hayward's Pictures which is being presented at the special matinee this afternoon, to which the school children are present by invitation in honor of the Coronation. Amongst the wide range of pictures that Hayward's are screening in the new series "The P:;|e Face Princess" is the headline drama, and is a triumph from the Bison Company, & firm that is specially good in pictures of the Wild West. "The Legend of Searface" is another powerful and sensational dramatic. ''The Floating Message" is a beautiful drama of medieval times, and reflects great credit On the Ambrosia picture 'firm. The comedies are excellent, and "Toskin's Vermin Slayer" and "A Western Welcome" are a fine pair. The last-named is an out-door comedy in which a honeymoon couple meet with some extraordinary adventures with a couple of escaped "gaol birds," the "love bi'ds" having a trying time. The orchestra is a feature of the entertainment, and there should be a large atendance this evening.

Any children who w r ere unable to attend this afternoon's matinee through illnes.s or anv good reason, Hayward's will admit them free on applying to their school "teachers for tickets of admission.

SCHOOL OF MUSIC. FULLERS' PICTURES. To-night at the School of Music, Fullers' Pictures promiss to exceed their usual high standard with the magnificent new bill to be screened ar 8 o'clock sharp. The new series was shown this afternoon, to a large number of children in honour of the Coronation, there being slight alterations to make.it suitable to juvenile Nelson: '■' The Lesson" is a pathetic drama dealing with the drink problem. Another iine dramatic is "The.Man Who Learned," an Edison film containing some splendid acting. For stirring incident the palm must go to "Coward or Hero?" (Vitagraph Co.). "The Exile's Love" completes the dramatic list. Among the comedies are "The Midnight Marauders," by the A.B. Co.; "Up-to-date Servants/' (a strange title for a fine comedy in which the plot of "Cinderella" runs amid modern surroundings). "A Useful Dog" is another amusing creation, and TweedJedum is again v prominent. "Peculiar. Pets" i s an animal study of interest. "Carrots v. Caterpillar" "is an instructive iilm.in colours. The latest "Warwick Chronicle" is one of the most interesting pictures in the programme.

OLYMPIA RINK. The Olympia Rink was again well attended last evening. The band w.ill play there this evening. It will be noticed bv r.dvertisemen'fc that the management intend to hold a Coronation Ball on Friday, July 7th. The "Long Evening" i n connection with the Fire Brigade Assembly wilt be held in the Rechabite Hall to-night. The Tneatire Royal and' School of Music were this afternoon crowded with edliool children, who- were completing the Coronation celebrations, by having a free view of the moving pictures.
