Mr. Babath. representing Illinois, has introduced in the House of Representatives a resolution demanding the State Department to inquire why only two dozen American peeresses were granted permission to attend round the Throne at the Coronation ascension. He emphasised the amount of money the United S'tate s exported with its heiresses, and also that a number of marriages with British peers had proved unhappy. It is unlikely that the resolution will be treated seriously. Mr. Babath desires specified information to allow the country to .Judge to what extent it benefitted by such a trade in heiresses. ; (
