NELSON CLUB. Members are notified that entries for the feathers competition will close tomorrow evening at 6 o'clock, and for all other competitions on Saturday at the same hour. . At a meeting of the Committee last evening it was decided to accept the suggestion of tho Maitai Glub "to play the first, pennant match of the season on the 19th. inst. The green will be open all day tomorrow. , MAITAI CLUB. PAIRS TOURNAMENT. Last evening pair s were picked for to-morrow's tournament for tiophies presented by Messrs A. and \\. Dee and by the Club. This., is the first tournament of the kind held by the Club, and great interest is being taken in it. Fourteen pairs are engaged, and play will be continued throughout the dav. The players will be : Section A.—Lamb, Tunnicliffe (s); W • H. Simpson, Milner (s); Karsten. Calder (s) ; Dougan, Sherwood (s); Bartlett, G. M. Simpson (s); T. Dee, Smith (e); Hounsell, W. Dee (s). • Section B. —Hesseltme, Whiting (s) ; Allen, Hockey (s); C. M. Whelan, JW. Richards (s); A. Dee, Pauling (s) ; Bockmann, P. Lomax (s) ; J. McEacnen, Thom (s) ; Levingston, G. Dee (s). The tournament will commence at 3.30. and ■ there will be an hour's adjournment, from 12.30 to 1.30.
