NELSON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

THE BULB SHOW. The fir_-t bulb show in connection with the Nolson Horticultural Societywill be held in the Drill Hall next Wednesday. In view of the greatly increased interest now being displayed in horticulture, it is anticipated that the show will be very successful. Members and non-members arc asked to give their assistance towards making the Society's initial bulb show a success. It is notified that entries for the tablo decorations close at Hounsell & Company's at 6 p.m. to-day. All other entries to close on Tuesday, up to 6 p.m. at Hounsell and Co. 's, and from 7 to 9 at tbe Drill Hall. Dr. Perry, of Petone, who made such a fino display of narcissi at tho Presbyterian flower sjiow last week, has consented to sond over another large collection of flowers for tbe Horticultural Society's Show. The attention of seedsmen and florists is directed to the notice appearing to-day in reference to application for stands at the show. A special pri*e of 10s has been presented by Mr W. Beeley for the 24 best violets, and this should bring out a large number of competitors. Mr G. A. Chapman, of the Hutt, will indite the exhibits at the show. All exhibits must be at the Drill Hall not, later than 11 o'clock on Wednesday .morning. Any arriving after that tune will be retained for exhibition only. The annual meeting of the Society will be held at the Camera Club's room, Hardy-street, at 8 o'clock this evening. All membereand intending members are invited to attend. Messrs Gibbons and Company, of Wellineton. are sending some blooms over for exhibition at th© Horticultural Show. _
