LOWER MOUTERE.

The annual meeting of householders was held in the Lower Moutere school. Mr H. Holdaway was voted to the chair. Mr C. D. 'Flett, secretary, read the balance-sheet, which showed a balance in hand of £4 11s, and was adopted. Mr Cresswell (acting-Chair-man), gave a verbal report, in which he stated that Both schools under the control of the Committee had been painted, and all outbuildings put in good repair, and the ground improved, at a total cost of £40. On the motion r.f the Chairman, a vote of sympathy wan passed to Mrs TniTivnt and family on the death' of Mr Tarrant, who had been crnnected with the school as Chairman or secretary for nearly 40 years. Nine householders were nominated' for the Committee, and after a ballot the following were elected : — Messrs F. Starnes (13), C. Flett (12), A. Kemp (11), T. B. Ooodhall (11), F. Cresswell (10) ,R.
