BRIGHTWATER.
The householders' meeting for the Bri^htwater school district was held in the brick school. Mr Aitken occupied the chair. The annual report and bal-ance-sheet were read and adopted. A circular on the Bible lessons in State schools was read, and the Nelson system was explained by the Rev. G. Baker, who moved that this meeting request the inconiiiiK Committee in consultation with the teachers to grant facilities for Bible lessons acrordiiisj to the Nelson svfti'm for one half hour a week in the Brii;ht\vatcr schools. The motion was seconded, and carried nnnnimonsly. The names of the members of the new Committee are as follows : — Messrs G. F. Williams (Chairman), V. H. Jones (secretary and treasurer), J. Boidpe, J. Wadsworth, G. Trapncll, G. Palmer, and F. Neal. A heaty vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated the meeting.
