The State Minister of Mines has returned from the Phillips River groldfleld. He states that the find at Masiour's lease is important as being tho firnt payablo silver found in Westralia. A bulk lot of 6J tons treated on the Government sampling floor yielded 40 ouaces of silver, 14 pennyweights of gold, and 16 per cent cent of copper per ton.
