The centenary celebrations of the colony have commenced. Tho Governor laid tho foundation stone of the new Public Library, the fund for which is provided by Mr Andrew Carnegie, (U.S. ) He also unveiled a memontil commemorating the landing of Liuut. BovreiY on February 13th, 1803.
