W XX HONOURS,
LONDON, Saturday. The following honours have been awarded in connection with the late war: Lord Methuen, Grand Cross of the Hath; Lieut. -Colonel Lassetter (New South Wales), Companion of the Bath : General Sir J. French and General lan Hamilton, LieutenantGenerals, also Commander of Sts. Michael and George: Colonel Kekewich, of Kimberley, and Colonel Plume r have been made MajorGenerals ; J. Percy Fitzgerald, author of the book " The Transvaal from Within," and George Farrar, another prominent Outlander leader, have been knighted. Amongst a lengthy list of colonials made Companions of the Distinguished Service Order are the following:—New Zealanders: Majors F Abbott, and E. Bartlett: Captain R. Stevenson, Lieuts. 1). Hickie, P. Tudor, and W. Tounley. The following New Zealanders received distinguished conduct medals :— Sergt. - Majors Black, Pickett, White, and Quartermaster Sergt. Graves. Sister Rawson, of Victoria, has been awarded tho Royal Red Cross.
