Wellington, This Day, The City Council's overdraft at the end of September waß £11,093. The muoh agitated I question of forming a recreation ground, at the Thorndon end of the town is now before the Counoil, which has reoently acquired the Cemetery Reserve. This is the only place where suoh a ground could be formed, but the oost is estimated at £4,500. The amount frightened most of the Councillors, and the matter was referred to the Finanoial Committee,
