PANGATOTARA ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting was held on Dec. 10« b, all tho members being present except Mr Rose. — Correspondence was read as follows: — From tbe Secretary of tho Lower Mouters Road Board re pile driver, Resolved, That the lotier li. on the table. From G. H. Slatter complaining of an obstruction on tke " Old Road." R.aolved, That the Secretary write to Mr Marshall aod nqu-st I him io remove tho logs left on tbo Baid road. — An aocount wns received .'from John I Arbo Guy for £2 lis, being for damages arid loss of time sustained through tho alleged ucgligence of the Board in nob keeping the road in repair near Mr Marshall's residenc. i Resolved, That no notica ha taken of the ' account.— The reports of Mr T. Grooby t>nd the Secretary upon the damage done by tho river were rend aed considered. Resolved, That the Secretary h.vo the work done according to the repor's, but nol to exceed fivn men and two 2-horae drays for b'x days, and then report.— Resolved, That the tenders nol opened at the last meeting bo now opened. This was done, end the tender of W. H. Parsons^ for No. 2 contract waa accepted. All the "t.nders.for the other contracts wero considered too bigb. — No tenders having been recive.l for formation in Dovedale and the Up-Rivn- road, it was r- solved that the time be extended till the next meeting, and that the Dovedele work bo 20."ch&ins imtead of 10 chains as called for. — Warr.nts Wfro < signed for £5 165. -The next meeting of the j Board will be held on January 14, 1888. 1
