DISASTROUS FIRE IN WELLINGTON.

THIRTY HOUSES DESTROYED. INSURANCES, £25,625. Wejxikgton, Monday. The largest fire ever known in Wellington occurred last night. It commenced in the Imperial Opera House which was soon a mass of flames. The other buildings burned were: —Branch Bank of New Zealand, Wesleyan Methodist Church, Nag's, Head and Royal Oak Hotels, Wesleyaa School, Working Men's Club, Graves and Fleming's drapery shop, Scott's ironmonger, and a lot of other shops.
