Women's Temperance Union Monthly Meeting
Mrs H. Ryan presided over a fair at* tendance and led the devotions at the monthly meeting of the Rangiora Branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. The secretary reported that the Band of Hope met fortnightly on Fridays and that arrangements were being made for a speaker on temperance to visit the various Bible Classes. Preliminary arrangements were mado for a large women's meeting in October when a. speaker from Christchurch would address those present. A full report of the last meeting of the executive was presented to the meeting by Mrs Thwaites.
