Set Of Crystal Lacks An Owner
KAEO, Thu. (Sp.)— Everybody buys a raffle ticket and nearly everybody pushes it into a corner and promptly forgets about- it. Sooner or later, someone had to win a prize and not know of his good fortune.
This has happened in the case of a raffle run by the Kaeo Table Tennis Club under licence by the Minister of Internal Affairs.
First prize was a beautiful crystaT water and wine set, Webb and Corbett’s manufacture, 13 pieces in all.
The raffle was drawn on October 15, Ticket number 1577 was the winner. It had no purchaser’s name on it. The organisers believe it was sold either in O' reawai or Okaihau.
If no claimant is forthcoming, the club is compelled to ask the Minister of Internal Affairs to decide the fate of the prize.
