India Cannot’ Afford Empire Games Team
NEW DELHI, Wed., 10 a.m.).— An Indian Olympics spokesman said today that India’s decision not to participate in the Empire Games at Aucklandland in February was dictated by financial considerations, besides lack of time to select athletes.
India, as host country for the Asian Games to be held in Delhi in November, 1950, already had heavy financial commitments to face.
