Director General Of Health
WELLINGTON, Thu., (P.A.).— The appointment of Dr John Cairney, superintendent of the Wellington Hospital, to the position of Director-Gen-eral of Health was announced today by the Public Service Commission. Sir Charles Hercus, dean of the medical school, University of Otago, Dr E. H M. Luke (Wellington). Dr Douglas Robb (Auckland) and Mr P. E. Stainton (cnairman, New Plymouth Hospital Board) acted as the advisory group to the commission in considering the appointment.
