Czechs Order French Attaches To Leave
PRAGUE, Thu. (10 a.m.)—The Czech Foreign Office, in a Note to the French Embassy today, accused the French military attache, Georges Helliott, and his assistant, Marcel Salabert of having obtained uranium and having sought to get details of Czech uranium mines. The Note demanded that the two men leave Czechoslovakia within 12 hours. , , It added that a French diplomatic courier had taken about 91b of uranium from Prague to France. The Note said that a former employee of the French Embassy, Gervais Garcette, and two Czechs, Gustav Maran and Oidrich Adamek, were under arrest.
