Parents' School 'Strike' Over
WELLINGTON. Thu. (P.A.i The Linden parent school “strike" which began on Monday, has ended.
An assurance that Linden - iron kept away from Tawa Flat ..liool would return was given yesterday by the chairman of the Linden Progressive and Ratepayers’ Association (Mr S. H. Whittaker) following a deputation of Linden residents to the Minister of Education (Mr McCombs). The Minister informed the deputation that he had that day agreed to the proposition for additional land to provide an adequate school site at Linden and that the way was clear for the preparation of plans for the school.
