Athletic Coaches To Attend School

WELLINGTON, Thu. (P.A.) view of the approaching Empire Games, the advantage of efficient coaching in athletic work is of particular importance,” said Mr H. I. Austad, chairman of the NZAAA, in announcing the coaches to take part in the national athletic coaching school to be held at Wellington from August 26 to September 3. “This initial athletic school should lay a solid foundation on which to build 'up athletics right throughout New Zealand in future,” he added. Mr Austad paid tribute to the work of officers of the Physical Welfare Department under whose organisation and direction the school would be conducted.

Mr Austad said it was regretted that due to the necessity of limiting the number attending the school all nominations received from centres could not bo accepted.
