Ccsnodtafis Prepare For Empire Games
TORONTO, Fri. (10.30 a.m,)— Nearly 200 Canadian athletes began competing today in a two-days’ trial for the selection of Canada’s representatives at the British Empire Games in Auckland in February.
Officials will decide the number to be chosen for the trip at the end of the trials.
Among the competitors are two holders of British Empire Games records— Eric Coy, whose discus throw of 146 ft lOJtin was made at the 1936 Sydney games, v and George Sutherland, who threw the hammer 159 ft 9,un also at the Sydney games.
